Hoop Connections Performs at Rock the Forest!
Gearing up for a rockin’ good time at unique venue, …Rebuilding Together St. Louis is hosting the first-ever Rock the Forest fund raiser on Saturday, June 16 at Sherwood’s Forest Nursery and Garden Center, 2651 Barrett Station Road in the Des Peres area. Rebuilding Together-St. Louis repairs the homes of low income and needy homeowners so they may remain safely in their own homes.
A fund raiser like no other, Rock the Forest will feature a three-hour performance by Jake’s Leg, a legendary Grateful Dead cover band, from 6:30 to 9:30pm.
While getting their groove on amidst 10,000 square feet of flowers, trees, topiaries and greenery, party guests will enjoy a huge assortment of savories and samplings from some of the area’s most popular restaurants.
Rounding out the festivities will be silent and live auctions with an impressive array of offerings. Up for bid will be a private airplane flight over the area, including a fly-over of the winner’s home; the chance to perform on-the-spot with Jake’s Leg; studio visits and lunch with some of the areas most popular media personalities; tickets to the Muny and Cardinals games; and much more.

Hoop Connections Celebrates 1 Year of Spinning!
One year ago Erica Burroughs, Erica Keller and Lisa Ogilvy wanted to bring the love of the hoop to their hometown of St. Charles, MO. After weeks of searching for the perfect space and nailing out all the details, Hoop Connections was formed. The very first spin jam was March 13th 2012 and was a HUGE success! Hoopers, poi spinners, flow wands….spinners came out to support and it was an incredible night!
Over the last year, Hoop Connections has grown as a business, as a group and as individuals. With classes, workshops, performances and an international retreat all within the first year of business, year 1 will sure be hard to compete with! This coming year our goals are to focus on more hoop dance education, community involvement and building our youth cirriculums. We want to thank all of the amazing people we have had the pleasure to work with and events we were a part of.
